About Us

HISTORY
Arbor Springs Health and Rehab Center was purchased in 2009 by Mark Traylor of Opelika, Al. and Howard J. Porter, Auburn, Alabama.  With 225 beds, Arbor Springs is the seventh largest Skilled Nursing Facility in the State.   Mr. Traylor’s family owned and operated Traylor Retirement Community , complete with senior apartments, assisted living, a nursing center with an Alzheimer’s Center, outpatient services, and a physician’s office. Mr. Traylor purchased the facility in 2015  and renamed the facility, Traylor Health and Rehab Center. Traylor Porter Health Care, Inc. also owns and operates Arbor Woods Health and Rehab

Center in Reform, Alabama.  Mr. Traylor, who previously served as Traylor Retirement Community’s Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Administrator, is the fourth generation of his family who has managed skilled nursing facilities. Mr. Traylor currently serves as Chairman of the Alabama Nursing Home Association.  Mr. Porter owns Porter Properties, a local real estate company. Mr. Traylor and Mr. Porter know the Auburn-Opelika market, since both live in the area and the Traylor facility in Roanoke has long had a relationship with East Alabama Medical Center. 

MISSION

Arbor Springs Health and Rehab Center’s mission statement says it all, “ To Serve individuals requiring Rehabilitative and Long Term Care services one Patient/Resident at a time, focusing on a holistic approach to care and a Commitment to Excellence”. 

Arbor Springs Health and Rehab Center provides skilled long term care and offers other services including a memory care unit and Hospice care. The Rehab Center provides Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy to assist patients in the community on a short-term basis for recovery from Hip and Knee Replacement, stroke recovery and other acute illnesses.
