We want to inform you that we are receiving results from our facility-wide testing and we have one employee who has a positive result. ADPH is being notified, and CDC report will be updated as well. This employee has been excluded from work until they have recovered per ADPH guidelines. We have zero COVID-19 positive residents at present, however residents are all being tested in response to the one positive test result. As of this week, we are testing our employees a minimum of 2 times weekly due to our community positivity rates.
Our center continues to follow the recommendations of the CDC on prevention and mitigation steps, including following strict handwashing procedures, social distancing when possible and utilizing all appropriate PPE. We are staying up-to-date with the CDC recommendations as they are updated. In addition, our facility is in close contact with the local and state health department and are following their guidance. The safety of our residents and staff is very important to us and it is a privilege that we do not take lightly.
At this time visitation is still restricted and we continue to encourage you to participate in window visits and virtual visits via FaceTime, Skype and other Android applications such as IMO and Google Duo. End of life and compassionate visits are permitted as needed, as well as outside visits with precautionary measures can also be scheduled in accordance with community transmission rates. At this time, our Lee County area is designated in the red zone (very high risk) and visitation is discouraged for safety purposes of all residents.
